About Me
Exceeding Expectations One Patient at a Time
I have worked within the mental health Sector for over 15 years now. I initially qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 2009, following which i worked within both adult and children's services. I have experience of working in both the NHS and private sector, with my main experience being with child and adolescent mental health and eating disorders.

During my time working within the NHS, i became very aware that my style of working linked to that of a CBT model and because of this i was lucky enough to undertake a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT in 2015, this has allowed me to become accredited by the BABCP.
I am also qualified in EMDR, which is effective when working with trauma.
I am able to offer assessments and on-going therapy, depending on the requirements of the individual. I am able to offer telephone consultations, where we can discuss what you are looking for and then if we agree that CBT or EMDR is right for you, i can offer therapy in a confidential and friendly environment. If i do not feel that i am able to help, then i will be able to signpost you to other services and professionals, which maybe able to provide the support that is required.

Due to my experience both in the NHS and private sector, i have close links with other professionals and their services.

I am a hard working individual that strives to help those i work with, to ensure that they can enjoy their life to the fullest extent.

So you might be asking yourself can CBT help me?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), looks at how thoughts, feelings and behaviours are linked together and then this underpins the model of CBT. CBT can help with a variety of issues, these include the following:

- Depression
- Anxiety: Social, general, specific, panic.
- Stress
- Trauma
- OCD
- Eating Disorders
- Relationship difficulties
- Self-harm
- Addictions
If you wish to discuss any issues that you feel that CBT may help with then please contact me and we can explore this together.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing
EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the client to briefly focus on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which aids the memory to be processed correctly and be less traumatic for the individual.
Clinical Supervision
I am able to offer supervision to healthcare professionals working within the mental health field. I offer a safe and confidential space for this to take place and will provide advice and support with your clients.
